A monster truck that drove off course and into an audience at a show in Mexico yesterday has killed 13 and injured more than 70.

The incident happened at the 'Extreme Aeroshow' in Chihuahua, Mexico yesterday.

The monster truck was leaping over a pile of cars when the driver seemed to lose control of vehicle and it drove straight into the audience attempting to flee.

Monster truck ploughs into crowd killing eight

Witnesses say they saw the truck driver lose control of the vehicle after hitting his head on the inside of the truck.

'The driver hit his head and his helmet flew off,' recalled spectator Daniel Dominguez, 18.

Dominguez's 11-year-old sister was taken into surgery for injuries to her legs, and his mother was also treated for minor contusions.

41-year-old Jesus Manuel Ibarra was hurt in his arm and hip.

'I fell over, and when I turned around I saw the tire very close. It hit me and threw me to the other side,' he said.

Marco Quezada, the mayor of Chihuahua, initially said 47 were injured but that number has grow to 70.

The monster truck driver survived the incident and has been arrested.

After the accident, the air show was cancelled. It was the second day of the three-day show.

7 Year Old Boy's Leg Got Swollen like A Vehicle Tyre [Photos]

One can only imagine the pain this 7-year-old Tanzanian boy is going through, Rajab Suleiman, a resident of Ukonga, he is in agony after one of his legs gets swollen like a car tyre.
Speaking to newsmen with great sadness, the young man said that he remembers that he was born with a little disability under his feet which made walking difficult but little did he know, ‘half bread is better than none’. Rajab can no longer walk but creep since his right leg has become so swollen and feeble.

He said he use to live with both parents, until they got separated and now he lives with his mother in a Tanzanian Village. Rajab complains that he wishes his swollen right should be cut off due to the rejection and pains it brings and he lacks comfortability compared to other children in the village.
“I wish to be like other children,” he said
Rajab is seeking for good Samaritans, including Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete to help him so he can get treatment.

How 18-Year-Old Girl Was molested To Death By 8 Coffin Maker In Anambra State

Nigeria detectives in Obosi, Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State are now battling to unravel the circumstances in which Chekwube Mbaka, an 18-year-old girl left her father’s house to buy N100 garri to serve as dinner for her family but never returned alive.
The victim was allegedly gang-r*ped by eight coffin makers in an uncompleted building at Odume-layout in Obosi, Idemili North council area of Anambra State Nigeria.
Chekwube, whose family hails from Ogboji community in Ezzagu, Ishielu council area of Anambra State, met her untimely death on the fateful day when she was on her way back from where she had gone to buy garri for the family.Though policemen attached to Obosi Police Division have already arrested two of the suspects in their effort to untie the knot surrounding the gruesome murder of the girl, her family has remained in pains, calling for justice.
Narrating how the incident happened, father of the deceased, Mr. Mbaka told Saturday Sun how he sent his daughter out on the fateful day after he came back home and discovered that the house was empty and there was no food for the entire family to eat.
He said: “When I came back that evening from work, I noticed there was no food for the family, I managed to bring out N100 and gave to Chekwube to buy garri for us to survive that night, I never knew that evil was lurking around and that enemies of God are also planning on how to eliminate my daughter. She left without any premonition of evil but when we waited for her for too long, we became apprehensive that she was wasting time, initially, I was angry that she had not returned but when it got out of hand, I noticed all was not well with Chekwube”
He further disclosed that before the deceased left for the errand, her friend, a 20-year-old boy simply identified as Skido (not real name) had visited the family and volunteered to escort Chekwube. Since they were best of friends and known to the family of the deceased, they were allowed to go but the boy ran home weeping to report that over eight young men accosted them on their way home and forcefully took away Chekwube and disappeared into thin air.
According to the family, when Skido alerted them that their daughter was forcefully dragged away by the coffin makers to an unknown place, they immediately raised the alarm and shortly after that, they discovered the lifeless body of Chekwube, unclad in an uncompleted building.
It was at that point that the family and sympathizers noticed that the deceased was gang-molested by the eight coffin makers now at large and in the process of preventing her from shouting to attract passersby, they held her by the throat leading to her death.
Her father further said: “We noticed fingerprints on her throat, that may be because they held her down to prevent her from shouting to attract passersby because the incident took place around 9pm, people were still passing. They defiled my daughter and killed her in the same place. We have alerted the police but we can’t stop crying for Chekwube, an intelligent and obedient girl who never gave anybody headache not even in the school nor at home”
When asked if he was suspecting anybody, Mr. Mbaka said he is suspecting the artisans living close to his house, adding that they might have conspired and masterminded the barbaric act, following the alleged regular sexual demands they had made to his daughter in the past.
However, the case has been transferred to the Divisional Crime Bureau, DCB of Obosi Police Division where our reporter gathered that Odume Obosi had recorded four violent rape cases leading to death, all within a space of three months.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Police Officer of Obosi Division, CSP Dimale J.O confirmed the incident and disclosed that two persons including one of the coffin makers had been arrested, adding that efforts were being made to arrest the fleeing seven coffin makers.

One of the best quotes by Nick Vujicic, a motivational speaker who was born with a rare disorder characterized by absence of all four limbs, goes like this: “For every disability you have, you are blessed with more than enough abilities to overcome your challenges.” This couldn’t be more true for Michael “Mike” Timble, a 27-year-old from Pittsburgh, who was born without arms, but has bravely refused to succumb to his disability. Since no obstacle was too great to overcome for this young man, Michael set out to get himself a bicycle. If he could graduate political science from Duquesne University, he could sure find a custom-made bicycle for himself.

Michael was born in the former USSR (Ukraine), in the Chernobyl area, with birth defects as a result of the 1986 nuclear devastation there. After spending nearly nine years in a local orphanage, Mike was adopted by a family from Pittsburgh. The first time he rode a bike was in boarding school when his gym teacher replaced the bike’s handlebars with a metal pipe reaching out to one of Mike’s stumps.

Last year, Mike bought a single-speed bicycle and started searching for someone to customize it and this didn’t go smoothly!
Mike was either viewed as a liability or refused on the grounds that it was impossible to customize the bicycle to his specification. That was until one of Mike’s friends – Tim Rhodes – stumbled across Michael Brown from Maestro Frameworks. “It never even crossed my mind that it could not be done,” Mr. Brown said. “Especially after I talked to Mike, he was so gung-ho about riding a bike again.”

Michael Brown was able to retrofit the bike to resemble the one that Mike’s gym teacher customized for him years ago. Mr. Brown says that he “spent a lot time sitting on the bicycle, visualizing how the handle will work, how upright it has to be, how much weight I need to put on the front wheel to stabilize it.” It took almost two months for Mr. Brown to come up with a solution – a bike that had a U-shaped single-sided bar instead of original handlebars. It took Mike only 30 minutes to get the hang of it and ride unassisted.

“My belief is that anyone can ride a bicycle and anything can be modified for people to meet their needs,” Mr. Brown said. The exact sentiment shared by Nik Vujicic and Mike Timble

Saheed Osupa Debunks Swollen Stomach Tale

Popular Fuji star, Dr Saheed Osupa, fondly called Saridon Pee, has debunked rumour making the rounds that he is ill. A national newspaper had published a story few days ago that the talented Fuji lyricist was allegedly suffering from a swollen stomach.

In a statement made available through his media representative, Ola Media Concept, the singer said nothing of such happened to him.

Saheed Osupa said in the statement that, "it is not in my practice to respond to false stories written about me because I've discovered that most of the journalists that exist lately are mostly lazy and unprofessional in their reports."

He also also disclosed that, "I have to react to this because many of my fans home and abroad even my children abroad are worried and calling to know my well being."

He added that, "those who must have been following the trend will know that nothing is wrong with me as I performed last Saturday at Badagry and Ajegunle on Sunday both in Lagos."

He thanked his for for their support and prayers and hinted of the release of his new album, which will hit the stands on October 15, 2013.
